Installation Questions

How long does installation take?

Most residential driveways can be completed in 1-2 days. Larger or more complex projects may take 3-4 days. The surface is ready for foot traffic after 4-6 hours and vehicles after 24 hours.

Do I need planning permission?

No planning permission is required for resin bound driveways as they are fully permeable and SuDS compliant. This is a major advantage over non-permeable surfaces like concrete or tarmac.

Can you install over my existing driveway?

Yes, we can often install resin bound surfacing over existing concrete or tarmac driveways, provided they are structurally sound and have adequate drainage. This can significantly reduce costs and installation time.

Cost & Payment Questions

How much does a resin driveway cost?

Prices typically range from £60-£95 per square metre, depending on the size of the area, existing surface condition, and chosen aggregate. We provide free, no-obligation quotes after a site survey.

Do you require a deposit?

No, we don't require any deposit. Payment is only due upon satisfactory completion of your driveway. This gives you complete peace of mind.

Product Questions

How long will my resin driveway last?

With proper installation and minimal maintenance, a resin bound driveway will last 15-25 years. We provide a 10-year guarantee on all our installations for your peace of mind.

Is it slippery when wet?

No, resin bound surfaces have excellent anti-slip properties. The textured finish provides good grip for vehicles and pedestrians, even in wet conditions. It's safer than many traditional driveway surfaces.

Will the colour fade?

No, we use UV-stable resin that prevents fading and discoloration. Your driveway will maintain its appearance for many years, unlike some alternatives that can fade or discolor quickly.

Can I park heavy vehicles on it?

Yes, when properly installed with the correct sub-base, resin bound driveways can support heavy vehicles including motorhomes and vans. We assess load requirements during our site survey.

Maintenance Questions

How do I maintain my resin driveway?

Resin driveways require minimal maintenance. Regular sweeping and occasional pressure washing (on a medium setting) is usually sufficient. For detailed maintenance advice, see our maintenance guide.

What about weeds?

The seamless nature of resin bound surfaces prevents weed growth through the surface. Any weeds that appear at edges can be easily removed or treated with weed killer.

Can I use salt in winter?

We recommend avoiding rock salt as it can damage the resin over time. Use calcium magnesium acetate or sand for de-icing. The permeable nature of the surface reduces ice formation naturally.
